![]() I love magical girl series and haven't met one that I didn't go gaga over except maybe Wedding Peach (that one's on the dull side of "okay" plus it's sometimes too ridiculous when it tries to be serious) Heh, Sailormoon meets the Little Mermaid. Only the songs could upbeat the anime a bit from time to time. Since I wasn't a 4-year old when I watched this, I couldn't not notice all the misses and silly things, so it was often painful to watch. :3 Ah yeah, and also the dancing videos + OP/ED are really nice and inspiring. I'll just give this anime value 3 because the franchize produced some nice songs, soundtrack and VGA games. I had to force myself to watch it many times. When I think about this anime now, I don't feel any nostalgia at all, nor I wish to rewatch it. Some okay voices, but also some annoying ones. Yay, I got to listen to some beautiful songs and soundtrack. This section goes "well" with the story, it fails as much. Main characters do have nice values, but they are always invincible, so there is nothing special in there. Not much development, many things are vague. ![]() Even our main mermaid, Luchia proved that she sometimes acts brainless. sighĮnemies of the day are super annoying and retarded, sadly. ![]() Enemies honestly don't seem interested in their own plans, they are "just there", waiting to attack and lose like sissies. I'll just say that some songs get way too repetive, while some songs get almost no attention. However, some dark (enemy) themes were bad. Soundtrack has so many beautiful tunes, which I deeply enjoyed. Kaito's voice also sounded somewhat muddy. Gaito didn't sound like a bad guy at all. Most of the mermaids' voices sound pretty (poor Karen).Īs for voice acting, I have to say that Kaito/Gaito's voice actor failed a bit. I simply adore most of the songs mermaid sing, together with OP/ED songs. Mermaids' dancing during their performances is pretty good, and the op/ed animation is also really pretty. :/Īnd some enemy characters + Hippo have weird designs, I guess it was all planned to amuse little children, nothing else. Except for Luchia, all mermaids have the same color as their mermaid/singer clothes. ![]() Pretty decent, characters have nice designs.
